6th- to 8th-graders invited to free engineering program

Registration is open for a free after-school program providing hands-on engineering and science activities for students in sixth through eighth grades.

Innovation to Reality (I2R), sponsored by Purdue's Women in Engineering Program, will focus on the theme of "Engineering Your Everyday World." Students will explore how everyday items and systems are engineered to make people's lives better. The program will include presentations, lab tours and hands-on activities coordinated by Purdue faculty and students.

The program will run 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 25-Nov. 15, on the Purdue campus. The deadline to register is Wednesday (Sept. 27). More information and online registration are available online.

Additional questions about the program may be directed to the Women in Engineering Program office at 765-494-3889 or wiep@purdue.edu
