Purdue community career fair taking place next week

Human Resources Talent Acquisition will host a career fair on June 15 geared toward filling open positions.

The career fair will be held at 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2:30-6 p.m. at the Niswonger Aviation Technology Building, 1401 Aviation Drive (NISW, near east end of Purdue Airport area), and early access to the fair will be granted to veterans from 8:30 to 9 a.m. The morning and afternoon sessions will have identical schedules. Attendees may park for free in the lot at the building's Airport Road entrance.

Breakout sessions will be held during the fair, including a question-and-answer panel featuring Human Resources staff and key departmental hiring managers, an overview of the Purdue hiring process and tips on resume writing and interviewing. Although registration for the career fair is not required, the first 15 registrants for each session will receive a complimentary resume critique. There will be a sign-up sheet available at the entrance to the event. To see the times for each breakout session, visit www.purdue.edu/careers.

Hiring managers will be on site to discuss custodial, dining, clerical, business/finance, IT and skilled trades positions and more. Individuals who have created a profile in Purdue's online application system may be able to participate in on-the-spot interviews. Computers will also be available for those who would like to apply immediately for open positions.

Additionally, the fair will present information on Purdue benefits, how to apply at Purdue and the job categories available.
