Topical Lunch for today canceled; new date to be announced later

The Topical Lunch hosted by the Purdue Policy Research Institute scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today (March 8) in the Purdue Memorial Union Anniversary Drawing Room has been cancelled. A new time in May will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Topical Lunch, which is open to the public, gathers faculty experts from across disciplines to talk on policy-relevant topics. These experts briefly share their knowledge of their field or research. Lunch attendees are welcomed and encouraged to ask questions and share their knowledge. The group discusses the societal impacts and possible policy responses to the topic and PPRI prepares a report based on the discussion.

Lunch is provided and attendees should email ppri@purdue.edu if they plan to attend. The topic for the upcoming discussion is the "Westernization of Diets." Experts on hand will include Lala Acharya, consumer science; Gary Burniske, global sustainability; Sophie Lelievre from the Purdue Center for Cancer Research; Dennis Savaiano, nutrition science; Jerry Shively, agricultural economics.
