Finalists for dean of the College of Engineering to make on-campus presentations

Three finalists for the position of the John A. Edwardson Dean of the College of Engineering will be on Purdue's West Lafayette campus for interviews in March and April, the search committee announced March 7.

Co-chairs of the search committee -- R. Byron Pipes, the John L. Bray Distinguished Professor of Engineering, and Andrew M. Weiner, the Scifres Family Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering -- said finalists will be on campus for two days each, and each will make a 30-minute public presentation and take audience questions.

Purdue’s next dean of the College of Engineering will succeed Leah Jamieson, the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering and the Ransburg Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, who will step down from her deanship effective July 1. Jamieson will transition to full-time faculty duties in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, having served as dean for 11 years. She has been a member of the College of Engineering faculty since 1976.
