Upcoming workshop to focus on preserving savings

Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop on asset management from noon to 1 p.m. Monday (Nov. 14) in Stewart Center, Room 311.

The “Preserving Your Savings for Future Generations” workshop, presented by Fidelity, will address establishing an estate plan and identifying strategies to help preserve accumulated assets in order to provide for those most important to you. Parents who worry about how their assets can help their children or grandchildren will be reassured that they are not alone. There will also be a discussion on the importance of beneficiary designations and making sure your assets are distributed according to your wishes.

Registration is available online and is due Sunday (Nov. 13). Limited seats are available.

The family workshops are open to faculty, staff, students and spouses/same-sex domestic partners. Those attending are encouraged to bring lunch to eat while listening to the presentation. Time for asking questions and networking with other parents and caregivers will be offered.
