2017 benefits open enrollment ends today at 6 p.m. EST

Benefits-eligible faculty and staff have until 6 p.m. EST today (Nov. 11) to enroll for 2017 benefits. No changes will be accepted after today’s deadline unless there is a qualifying life event (change in family status). To enroll, sign on to EBenefits via OneCampus. Due to the high volume of individuals who are using the EBenefits system today, please be patient as the speed of the system may be affected.

There is still an opportunity to visit a walk-in lab today until 5:30 p.m. in Freehafer Hall, Room 1-5. Human Resources staff members are on hand to assist those needing to make changes or complete their enrollment elections. Human Resources encourages everyone to actively enroll to ensure their benefits meet their needs for 2017.

Important reminders:

* Confirm tobacco user status for employee and spouse, if applicable.

* Employee contributions to health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs) must be reset annually or no contributions will continue for 2017.

* Enrollment is required for a 2017 dental plan. Purdue is again covering the premium for preventive dental but employees must actively select a dental plan. Employees can select from preventive, buy-up option 1, buy-up option 2 or to opt out of dental coverage. Review details of the preventive and buy-up plan options before making a choice.

* Initial and submit your enrollment.

* Review your benefit statement at the end of enrollment, and print or electronically save a copy for your records.
