Northrop Grumman president to speak about the future of cognitive systems Sept. 6

Tom Vice, president of Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, will speak Sept. 6 at Purdue. This lecture, titled "Future of Advanced Trusted Cognitive Autonomous Systems," will take place at 5:30 p.m. in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.

The talk is part of the Charles Rolls and Henry Royce Memorial Lecture Series, presented by Rolls-Royce and Purdue's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Rolls-Royce has a long heritage and connection with the aviation industry, and has a strong, collaborative relationship with Purdue.

The lecture series, which began in 2002, brings speakers from the aviation and aerospace industries to campus to inspire students who are considering careers in these fields.

These visits provide an opportunity to showcase Purdue research and facilities to both the lecture sponsor, Rolls-Royce, and the guest while allowing students to meet and listen to top executives from the aviation and aerospace industries.

Vice’s 2016 lecture will be the eighth lecture in the series.
