The popular game show "Jeopardy" highlighted Purdue and the University's commitment to affordability in an episode airing Friday (July 15).

Contestants received the following answer during the Double Jeopardy round: "As governor, Mitch Daniels balanced the budget; as pres. of this univ., he froze tuition in 2013 after 36 years of increases." The answer: "What is Purdue University?"

Purdue announced this spring the intent to continue to hold tuition flat on the West Lafayette campus for a fifth consecutive year, which would extend Purdue's tuition freeze through the 2017-18 academic year. Tuition and fees through 2017-18 at the West Lafayette campus will remain virtually the same as they were in 2012-13.
