President Mitch Daniels took part in discussions and interviews during his visit to the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, Colorado, on June 29-30.

The Aspen Ideas Festival, produced by the Aspen Institute in concert with The Atlantic magazine, brings together world leaders in business, the arts, politics, sciences, humanities and philanthropy "to share ideas, raise challenging questions, and inspire thought to action." Some 350 presenters, 200 sessions, and 3,000 attendees made up this year's festival.

On June 29, Daniels discussed themes from the festival, including politics, culture and social change, during an interview with Alex Wagner, senior editor at The Atlantic. A video of the interview is here.

On June 30, Daniels participated in a panel discussion on "What Will Drive Economic Success in the Next Twenty Years?" with Virginia Sen. Mark Warner; Zoe Baird, president of the Markle Foundation; and Mark Weinberger, global chairman and CEO of Ernst and Young. The panel discussion may be viewed here.

Also on June 30, Daniels took part in a Slate Political Gabfest podcast with John Dickerson of CBS' "Face the Nation," Emily Bazelon of Yale University and the New York Times Magazine, and David Plotz of Atlas Obscura, a provider of information and stories about travel destinations. Video of their discussion is here.
