All-employee 'Skills for Performance' training opportunities announced for upcoming months

The fourth round of Employee Training and Development's popular "Skills for Performance" training -- available to all employees with supervisor approval -- has been announced. Some courses are specifically targeted to supervisors; however, all courses are open to all employees who are interested in attending.

The courses -- focused on interpersonal and supervisory skills -- are designed with hands-on, interactive activities to help build performance skills. The first three rounds of the training were met with overwhelming attendance and support.

September, October and November classes are:

* Managing Multiple Generations

* Overcoming team dysfunctions – Introduction

* Visual Management "What Gets Measured, Gets Done!"

* Motivating Environments

* Safety Leadership  

Classes will be offered in the Physical Facilities Service Building (PFSB), Room 1179AB.

In December, Employee Training and Development will be sending out a survey to past participants as well as the general campus regarding this year's programs and to gather topic ideas for programs that will be offered in 2017. The next round of course offerings will begin in mid-January, and information will be shared closer to that time.

To register, employees can click the links above or use the Employee Training and Development calendar and click the "Register" links on the right-hand side for each respective course. Class sizes are limited to provide better interaction with the presenter. Registering early is recommended.
