Upcoming workshop to focus on providing healthy childhood

Purdue Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop to discuss nutrition for children from noon to 1 p.m. Monday (May 2) in Stewart Center, Room 311.

The "Making Nutrition Fun for Children" workshop is an opportunity for anyone raising or supporting someone in raising a child to get information on creating and maintaining a healthy childhood through nutrition. Attendees will learn how good nutrition affects all learning areas and how to implement new strategies for improving nutrition choices. The workshop will be presented by Kelsie Muller from Purdue Extension.

Registration is available online and is due Friday (April 29). Limited seats are available; however, as a response to feedback, Human Resources is pleased to make this and future presentations available in WebEx. Those attending via WebEx should enter "familyfriendly" if prompted for a password when joining the meeting.

The family workshops are open to faculty, staff, students and spouses/same-sex domestic partners. Those attending are encouraged to bring lunch to eat while listening to the presentation. Time for asking questions and networking with other parents and caregivers will be offered.
