Spring Fling, the annual appreciation day for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees, is set for May 25 and volunteers are needed for the event.

If interested in volunteering, contact Sally Bauges at bauges@purdue.edu. Volunteers will receive a Spring Fling T-shirt. Spring Fling attendees, if they need assistance, will easily be able to locate a volunteer wearing the green and yellow shirts.

Deadlines to volunteer and register for events are quickly approaching.

A mailing was sent out that includes registration forms for events and a staff appreciation card that employees must bring to Spring Fling to enter drawings for door prizes.

Spring Fling will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Memorial Mall. Bingo, Zumba, disc golf, yard games, the Food Finders Food Bank Food Drive and the bloodmobile do not require registration.

The bloodmobile will be present 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 25 in Memorial Mall Drive west of Stewart Center.

Faculty and staff that want to donate can schedule an appointment online.  Walk-ins are also welcome.

Food barrels will be by the newsstand in Stewart Center and by Starbucks in Purdue Memorial Union.

The golf outing on the Kampen Course is $30. This special rate includes 18 holes walking, with the option of riding at a discounted rate of $10. To reserve a tee time, call 494-3139, Ext. 1. Online reservations will not work for this event. Space is limited.

Tee times begin at 11:30 a.m. on May 25. Purdue staff IDs will be checked as players register at the Pete Dye Clubhouse.

Register by 5 p.m. May 13 for the fitness walk, classic vehicle show and volunteer work. Fill out registration cards from the recent mailing or go to www.purdue.edu/springfling.

For more information, contact Carrie Hanson at 494-7397 or carrie@purdue.edu.
