Valentine's Wine Dinner set for Feb. 12
Senior students in hospitality and tourism management will be preparing a six-course Valentine's Wine Dinner on Feb. 12 in the John Purdue Room in Marriott Hall.
The event, organized by HTM 492, will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. and cost $60 per person. Reservations are required and must be made by 5 p.m. on Feb. 11. Seating is limited. Make reservations by calling 765-494-6845 or emailing jpr@purdue.edu. Members of the HTM 492 course plan, prepare and manage John Purdue Room dinners each semester.
The six courses and wine selections will be:
* Amuse Bouche -- Chicken liver mousse, Piper Sonoma Blanc de Blancs, U.S.
* First course -- Coquilles St. Jacques, Prinz von Hessen Riesling trocken, Germany
* Second course -- Avocado and Hearts of Palm chopped salad, Domaine Guillemarine Picpoul de Pinet, France
* Third course -- Roasted tenderloin of beef, parslied potatoes, Susana Balbo Cabernet Sauvignon, Argentina
* Fourth course -- Crispy buttermilk marinated oysters, creole succotash, Seifried Estate Old Coach Road Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand
* Dessert -- Guinness red velvet cupcake, chocolate truffles, chocolate meringues with fresh fruit, Fonseca Bin No. 27, Portugal
No vegetarian option is available.
