'Skills for Performance' training offered campus-wide for all employees

Employee Training and Development within Human Resources is offering "Skills for Performance" training to all employees with supervisor approval. Some courses are specifically targeted to supervisors; however, all courses are open to all employees who are interested in attending. The courses -- focused on interpersonal and supervisory skills -- are designed with hands-on, interactive activities to help build performance skills.

January, February and March classes are:

* Customer Service – Getting to Gold

* Leading through Change and Transition

* Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities

* Motivating Environments

* Project Management Basics

* Empowering and Delegating for Results

* Managing Multiple Generations

* Stress Management

* Visual Management "What Gets Measured, Gets Done!"

* Introduction to Type and Leadership

* Time Management and Goal Setting

Classes will be offered in the Physical Facilities Service Building (PFSB), Room 1179. The first "Skills for Performance" course (supervisor session) available for registration is Leading through Change and Transition and is scheduled for Jan. 27.

The next round of course offerings will begin in April and information will be shared closer to that time.

Each class is limited to 25 participants. To register, employees can click the links above or use the Employee Training and Development calendar and click the "Register" links on the right hand side for each respective course.
