A creative mixing of talents and interests is often intriguing, as with Harpeth Rising, coming Feb. 5-6, which draws on various genres so much that the trio has been termed "chambergrass." A lot of music is included in a creative February at the West Lafayette campus. Don't Miss It!

The Rueff Galleries open a video exhibition, "Still Moving," curated by Min Kim Park, assistant professor, and Joseph Mogul. Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; until 7 on Thursdays (except holidays). Details

Books and Coffee opens its 66th annual series, in which faculty members will discuss books of interest and the sponsors will offer refreshments and prizes of interest. Each Thursday in February. Refreshments at 4 p.m.; talk at 4:30 p.m. STEW, Rooms 302-306. Details

Swing Dance with vocal and instrumental ensembles from Purdue Bands & Orchestras is a place to let your feet do some swingin' steps. 8 p.m. Córdova Recreational Sports Center, Feature Gym. Details

Harpeth Rising, a "chambergrass" trio, will present four shows with violin, banjo, cello and a pleasing way of blending genres. 7 and 9:30 p.m. each night (four shows). Carnahan Hall, 800 Main St., Lafayette. $. Details

The Purdue Varsity Glee Club, renowned far and wide, gives a near-home concert at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, 1207 Columbia St., Lafayette. This is a benefit for the church's Haiti ministry. $. Details
