Webinar to feature IMPACT classroom

November 12, 2015

"The IMPACT Story," a live webinar with Frank Dooley, vice provost for teaching and learning, and Chantal Levesque-Bristol, director of the Center for Instructional Excellence, is scheduled for noon-1 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 18). The webinar is sponsored by the Office of the Provost.

IMPACT, which stands for Instruction Matters: Purdue Academic Course Transformation, creates student-centered, active learning environments that take advantage of a full range of media and small group discussions. Nearly 250 courses are currently in development and being converted to the IMPACT classroom.

Dooley and Levesque-Bristol will discuss how transforming curriculum using IMPACT leads to positive results for Purdue students and faculty. Purdue faculty who have successfully transformed their courses will discuss the process and will be available to answer viewer questions during the webinar.

Questions may be sent before the webcast to purdueprovost@purdue.edu.
