Nominations sought for Distinguished Women Scholars award
November 24, 2015
The Office of the Provost, in partnership with the Butler Center for Leadership Excellence, is accepting nominations for the sixth annual Distinguished Women Scholars award, which honors alumnae who earned a Purdue doctorate and have made significant scholarly contributions to their respective academic communities.
The nomination criteria include an earned doctorate from Purdue and distinguished scholarly success within one's chosen field. Nominations should include the following documents (no more than two nominations per college or school):
* A letter of nomination that outlines the nominee's achievements.
* The nominee's updated CV.
* The names of two references who could speak to each nominee's record of distinction.
Nominations must be submitted to ButlerCenter@purdue.edu by Dec. 16.
Recipients will be invited to campus March 3 to be honored as part of Purdue's celebration of Women's History Month. In addition, honorees' home departments will be asked to welcome back their alumnae and introduce them to current graduate and undergraduate students.
