'Host-A-Boiler' and share your holidays with a student

October 26, 2015

A new program called "Host-A-Boiler" is inviting faculty, staff and others to play host for a meal, a family gathering or community event during Thanksgiving and/or winter break to a student or students who may not have an opportunity to go home during these times.

Purdue is home to many students who travel to our campus from around the United States and around the world. For some of those students, heading home for extended academic breaks is not an option. For that reason, "Host-A-Boiler" has been launched to pair host families with a student or students to share a meal, a family gathering, or a community experience.   Hosts and students can determine when they would like to get together.

Those who are interested in this experience should go to www.ippu.purdue.edu/HostABoiler/ to learn more about the program and sign up to be a host. The deadline to sign up for Thanksgiving Break is Nov. 13. The deadline for winter break is Dec. 11.
