Halloween weekend to be full of sporting events

Boilermaker fans will have a busy Halloween weekend on campus with many spirit and sporting events planned.

FRIDAY

Swimming and diving (men’s): A splashdown with Miami (Ohio) at 6 p.m. at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.

SATURDAY

Boilermaker Crossing: Purdue fans can meet the team, interactive opportunities, play on inflatable games and more at 9-11:30 a.m. at Sally and Bob Weist Plaza between Mackey Arena and the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility’s Holloway Gymnasium side. The event is family-friendly and free.

211° Session: Join the football team and the “All-American” Marching Band at 9:49 a.m. in Mackey Arena. Boilermaker football players and football head coach Darrell Hazell will speak, and the band will perform.

Purdue vs. Nebraska: Nebraska has lost four times in the last moments of games. Let’s hope Purdue can take care of things earlier. Kickoff is at noon. Ticket information is available here.

Purdue "All-American" Marching Band: The "All-American" Marching Band will perform the halftime show using the theme “The Zombie Show” and march after the game to Slayter Center to perform.

Swimming and diving (men’s divers): They’ll try to outsmooth Notre Dame and Ohio State at 3:30 p.m. at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.

Swimming and diving (women’s): Big names and big waves will abound as Notre Dame and Ohio State drop in at 3:30 p.m. at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.
