U.S. Swimming meet at Purdue needs volunteers

July 13, 2015

Volunteers are needed to help Purdue host the 2015 USA Swimming Futures Championship on July 29-Aug. 2 in the Boilermaker Aquatic Center. The Futures Championships is part of the USA Swimming Championship Series.

Officials in Purdue's Division of Recreational Sports are encouraging volunteers to assist with registration, hospitality, and event operations. Various shifts are available during the five-day period, and each volunteer will receive hospitality room access as well as a T-shirt. For most, no previous training will be needed.

The Futures Championships consist of three regional 18-and-under meets around the country, bridging the gap between Sectionals meets and Junior Nationals. It provides competitive opportunities for up-and-coming athletes.

Persons may volunteer as individuals or as part of an organization. To sign up, go to https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_8wybU5LtoqBpUUt and provide the requested information including preferred tasks and available days
