Purdue Bowlermakers to organize on Aug. 26
August 18, 2015
The Purdue Bowlermakers women's bowling league will have an organizational meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday (Aug. 26) in Stewart Center, Room 202.
The membership of the Purdue Bowlermakers is open to any female staff and faculty (current or retired) or student. Female relatives and spouses of Purdue staff, faculty, students and alumni also are eligible. Teams have three bowlers per session and can have alternates.
Bowling takes place at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays starting Sept. 2 in Union Rack and Roll at Purdue Memorial Union, and the season consists of 30 weeks. That excludes the Wednesdays near Thanksgiving (Nov. 25), Christmas (Dec. 23) and New Year's Day (Dec. 30).
Membership (sanction) cost is $18 (payable to the Lafayette USBC), and weekly dues are $8.25 per player (three bowlers each week). Those interested in bowling in any of the state tournaments pay an additional $1 fee. Substitute bowlers pay the yearly membership fee of $18 but not the weekly fee.
Lockers are available for rental at $30/year or $15/semester, and shoe rental is $2.25/week.
