September 14, 2015

"Enhancing Diversity at Purdue," a live webinar with Provost Deba Dutta, is scheduled for 12:30-1:30 p.m. today (Sept. 14).

Dutta will discuss how the newly appointed Diversity Leadership Team plans to enrich the Purdue environment through a more diverse faculty and student body. Emphasis will focus on all underrepresented populations, including women, first-generation students, members of the LGBTQ community, and people with disabilities.

Dutta also will discuss the Diversity Transformation Award, a major initiative from the Diversity Leadership Team, which includes the provost; Mark J.T. Smith, dean of the Graduate School; Ximena B. Arriaga, Provost Fellow and associate professor of psychological sciences; and Venetria Patton, Provost Fellow and professor of English and African American studies.

Questions may be sent before or during the webcast at purdueprovost@purdue.edu.

The webinar address is www.kaltura.com/tiny/qxpb5. Anyone who is unable to view the webinar live will still have an opportunity to view it when it is archived on the provost's website.
