Provost names members of Advisory Committee on Diversity

September 24, 2015

Provost Deba Dutta has announced the formation of an Advisory Committee on Diversity.

“Improving diversity and inclusion at Purdue is one of my highest priorities,” Dutta says. “It’s a cause that will enhance the academic and research experience for everyone on campus and is worthy of our very best efforts.”

The provost invited faculty, staff and students to participate on the committee, acknowledging that it was critical to hear from many representatives from across campus. Members are expected to meet monthly during the fall and spring semesters to help set the diversity and inclusion goals for the University, the strategies for achieving the goals, and the metrics and milestones to measure progress.
