Mortar Board calendars now on sale

Mortar Board calendars are now on sale at Stewart Newsstand, Urban Market, Third Street Suites and Tarkington Hall markets, Follett's, University Book Store, University Spirit, Discount Den and the West Lafayette Wal-Mart. The calendars are $7 for the 5.5-by-8.5-inch version and $10 for the 8.5-by-11-inch version.
Produced by Purdue’s Barbara Cook Chapter of Mortar Board, the calendar includes Purdue's academic dates and deadlines, athletic events, convocations, information on student organizations and callout dates, hours for campus facilities, important phone numbers and websites, and room for notes and class schedules.
A portion of calendar sale proceeds funds fellowships for Purdue seniors heading to graduate school. The fellowship has been available to Purdue students for almost 70 years, and Mortar Board has provided more than $1.1 million in fellowships to date.
Chartered in 1926, the Purdue chapter of Mortar Board is named in honor of retired Dean of Students Barbara Cook, who advised the group from 1956 until 1986. The chapter is one of three to win the Ruth Weimer Mount Chapter Excellence Award, Mortar Board's highest national honor for a collegiate chapter, twice out of more than 170 active chapters.
