Purdue to host career fair for community
May 26, 2015
Human Resources Talent Acquisition will host a career fair June 9 geared at filling open positions.
The career fair will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 7 p.m. at Tarkington Residence Hall. The two portions have identical schedules. Attendees may park in spots marked for University Residences parking.
Breakout sessions will be held during the fair, including a question-and-answer panel featuring Human Resources staff and key departmental hiring managers, an overview of the Purdue hiring process, and tips on resume writing and interviewing. Although registration for the career fair is not required, the first 15 registrants for each session will receive a complimentary resume critique. There will be a sign-up sheet available at the entrance to the event. To see the times for each breakout session, visit www.purdue.edu/careers.
Hiring managers will be on site to discuss custodial, dining, clerical, business/finance and IT positions. Individuals who have created a profile in Purdue's online application system may be able to participate in on-the-spot interviews. Computers will also be available for those who would like to apply immediately for open positions.
Additionally, the fair will present information on Purdue benefits, how to apply at Purdue and the job categories available.
