January 23, 2015

The Center for Healthy Living's "Dishing it up Diabetes Style" workshop series will offer those who have diabetes or know someone who has diabetes an opportunity to learn how to create tasty, healthy, diabetes-friendly meals.

The first workshop in the series will take place from noon to 12:50 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Recreational Sports Center's Demo Kitchen and will be led by Ellen Welch, registered dietitian at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL). Participants will get to enjoy a cooking demonstration and samples of the delicious dishes along with the recipes to use at home. The menu for this workshop is chili, cornbread and dark chocolate trail mix bites.

Registration is due by Feb. 4. To register, call 49-45239. Limited seats are available.
