Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Effectiveness to host third annual forum

The Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Effectiveness will hold its third annual Assessment Forum, "We Are the 'A' in OIRAE and This Is What We Do," on Thursday (Oct. 30) in Purdue Memorial Union, West Faculty Lounge.
Faculty and staff are welcome to attend any and all of the presentations, which will take place from 9:15 a.m. to noon. Light refreshments will be served, and participants will also get to test their knowledge of campus trivia.
The presentations are:
* Andy Zehner, assessment and data analyst, OIRAE. Zehner will present "Who is Happy? Assessment of Student Attitudes" from 9:15 to 9:30 a.m.
* Tim Luzader, Susan Bush and Iyad Uakoub, Center for Career Opportunities. They will present "First Destination Success: What's Next for Purdue's Graduates?" from 9:35 to 10 a.m.
* Brooke Robertshaw, assessment and data analyst, OIRAE. Robertshaw will present "Assessing IMPACT: An Analysis of DFW, GPA and Retention Rates in IMPACT Courses, 2011-2013" from 10:05 to 10:25 a.m.
* Katherine Yngve, intercultural learning specialist, OIRAE. Yngve will present "Assessing Intercultural Learning for Purdue Student Affairs Staff" from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m.
* Steve Hare, project manager, OIRAE. Hare will present "Digital Measures -- Managing and Reporting on Faculty Accomplishments" from 10:55 to 11:15 a.m.
* Maggie Konich, assessment specialist, OIRAE. Konich will present "Higher Order Evaluation: Assessing Creative Thinking through Portfolios" from 11:20 to 11:40 a.m.
* Zach Yater, data analyst, OIRAE. Yater will present "What Does Exploratory Studies Look Like? Data Visualizations in Tableau" from 11:45 a.m. to noon.
