Responsive Web templates will be available July 15 for University developers who wish to use the same branded design and format as the forthcoming Purdue home page.
Templates compatible with the Cascade content management system, as well as HTML templates for groups working within other content management systems, will be available from Marketing and Media's Digital Marketing group. Developers should contact their marketing strategist for links to the templates.
The redesigned Purdue home page will launch Aug. 4. Purdue websites that use corresponding templates must launch on that date or after.
The new home page and the corresponding templates will include a simpler, cleaner layout, an easier navigation system and responsive design for mobile devices. They will include features, such as full compatibility with screen readers, that will improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
