Purdue jazz ensemble to perform at HTM restaurants in Marriott Hall
September 22, 2014
Wednesdays have just gotten jazzier at Marriott Hall through a cool harmony between the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Purdue's Bands & Orchestras program.
As HTM provides dining options, the Purdue Jazz Quartet, or another jazz ensemble from Bands & Orchestras, will perform at 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the main lobby at Marriott Hall. During that period, visitors also can enjoy:
* John Purdue Room dinner. Fine dining. 5:30-7 p.m. (Open Monday-Friday.) Reservations made at 49-46845 are strongly encouraged.
* John Purdue Room Patio. New this year. Small plates, beer, wine. 4:30-6:30 p.m. (Open Monday-Friday.) Age 21 or over.
* Lavazza coffee shop. Espressions coffee, Benjamin Tea, gelato, pastries. Open until 7 p.m. on Jazz Night. (Standard hours are 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.) For Jazz Night, Lavazza will have a special -- a double espresso and slice of cheesecake for $4.
HTM also offers lunch in the John Purdue Room (reservations encouraged) and Boiler Bistro, also in Marriott Hall. The John Purdue Room and Boiler Bistro are operated as part of the school's academic program. For more about HTM restaurants, go to www.purdue.edu/hhs/htm/restaurants.
