Faculty and staff can find a current list of Purdue's honorary doctorate recipients at the Board of Trustees website. The trustees office is the office of record for honorary doctorate degrees.
Purdue awards honorary doctoral degrees to individuals who have national reputations in their fields of expertise, are recognized leaders, and have demonstrated distinguished service to the University and the State of Indiana. Since 1888, Purdue has awarded 844 honorary doctorates.
