Fraudulent calls seek credit card information

June 19, 2014

Calls to Purdue campus numbers in which the caller claims to represent Xerox and requests credit card information to ship toner are fraudulent, University officials say.

Several such fraudulent calls have been recently reported, says Andy Bushong, service delivery manager at Xerox. He reminds employees that Xerox will not contact anyone to request credit card information to ship toner. Toner procurement processes have not changed as a result of Xerox's assumption of print operations.

Any employees who have already provided credit card information to the scammers should contact Patricia Whitbourne of Xerox Corporate Security at patricia.whitbourne@xerox.com. For more information, contact Printing Services at 49-42006.
