Available levels in Grant Street Garage to switch on Monday

June 19, 2014

Levels 1-2-3 of the Grant Street Parking Garage will be unavailable for parking beginning Monday (June 23) through Aug. 1. Levels 4-5 will reopen at the same time, and measures are being taken to make use of the garage as convenient as possible as many visitors come to campus.

During this period, disability parking spaces will be available on levels 4-5 next to the southwest and northwest stairwells, both of which will have elevator access. Those with accessibility needs are welcome to call Parking Facilities at 765-494-9497.

The gates for the garage will remain open through Aug. 1 to assist with parking during the garage repairs. However, the electric vehicle charging station will not be available during this time.

Employees are reminded that through July 11, the STAR program, Summer Transition Advising and Registration, will continue to bring incoming students and their families to campus. Because space in the Grant Street Garage is limited during the maintenance work, employees are encouraged to use other parking options during STAR.

In addition to other garages, ample parking is available to employees in the Discovery Park lot on the southwest side of the roundabout on Martin Jischke Drive. Bus service is available every 10 minutes from this lot on the 19 Inner Loop CityBus route.
