Town hall meetings to focus on plant sciences initiative
October 10, 2013
The College of Agriculture is inviting faculty, staff and graduate staff to participate in two town hall meetings titled "What is the Plant Sciences Research & Education Pipeline?"
The town hall meetings will give participants the opportunity to discuss the college's new plant sciences initiative, which is among the West Lafayette campus's new Purdue Moves programs. There are opportunities for individuals with interests ranging from basic biology to robotics, remote sensing, data acquisition and handling, entrepreneurial activities, and student education in STEM. Working groups that will provide input for the initiative will be assembled during the meetings.
The meetings are geared toward faculty, staff and graduate students within the colleges of Agriculture, Science, Engineering and Technology, but all are welcome to attend.
The town hall meetings will take place at Beck Agricultural Center from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 and 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 15. For those who would like transportation to and from the center, a shuttle will be available at the Agricultural Administration Building 20 minutes before each town hall meeting.
To RSVP and to request shuttle service, go to https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cIyrPfH7K4F4kAJ. Those who cannot attend the meeting but would like to get involved may indicate their interest at the same site.
