Simplified desk-side waste disposal process to begin Dec. 1

November 22, 2013

In response to numerous and repeated requests for change, Physical Facilities is announcing a simplified desk-side waste collection process for academic and administrative buildings on the West Lafayette campus.

Effective Dec. 1, all office waste can be disposed of in the blue desk-side receptacles by putting anything recyclable (paper, cans, bottles) in one section, and non-recyclables (food waste, snack wrappers, facial and bathroom tissue) in the other.

In making this change, Physical Facilities and the Office of University Sustainability hope to increase the convenience of waste disposal.

Questions may be directed to these offices:

* Information on obtaining desk-side receptacles: Physical Facilities Buildings and Grounds at 49-47107.

* General recycling questions: Office of University Sustainability at 49-42481.

* Specific operational questions: Physical Facilities Buildings and Grounds at 49-47107.
