ADVANCE adds session of faculty search workshop

Due to overwhelming interest, ADVANCE has added a third session of the "ADVANCE-Office of Institutional Equity Search Committee Workshop on Faculty Hiring."
The workshop, which is open to all faculty, will be held 8:15 a.m.-noon Nov. 18 in Purdue Memorial Union, West Faculty Lounge. A light breakfast will be served.
The workshop provides an interactive opportunity to explore and discuss search strategies and challenges. It is research-based and includes important information on unintentional bias. The workshop is conducted in a round-table format that offers opportunity for an in-depth discussion of faculty search best practices with other faculty members across campus, including how to build a robust and diverse candidate pool.
Faculty interested in attending should RSVP to Barb Clark at barbclark@purdue.edu. Those interested are encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible due to the high demand for the workshop.
