Wellness screenings available this fall

The School of Nursing will offer employee wellness screenings this fall.
Upcoming dates and locations are:
* Sept. 27 -- Young Hall, Room B-64.
* Oct. 9, 15 -- Johnson Hall, Room B-5.
* Oct. 16 -- Beering Hall, Room 1284.
* Oct. 22 -- Lilly Hall, Room 3-113 AB.
* Nov. 1 -- Stewart Center, Room 214.
* Nov. 15 and 19 -- Freehafer Hall, Room 1-1, 1-2
Screenings include a finger stick for blood tests for total cholesterol, HDL and glucose; height; weight; and blood pressure. Participants must bring their Purdue ID at the time of the screening.
Faculty, staff, postdocs and their spouses, and graduate staff are eligible for one free wellness screening per calendar year. For example, if an individual completed a screening in the spring of 2013, that person will wait until spring 2014 for the next appointment. Spouses of graduate staff may get a screening for $20 (cash or check only).
Annual screenings are performed by fourth-year Purdue nursing students and serve as clinical time for students. Screenings are an important part of prevention.
