Purdue Women's Club plans year-opening luncheon, fair

The Purdue Women's Club will highlight its wide-ranging programs Sept. 18 during its annual Fall Luncheon and Interest Group Fair.

The Fall Luncheon will begin at noon in Purdue Memorial Union's North Ballroom. Melissa Evens, director of military and veterans affairs in the Krannert School of Management, will be the speaker. She is a certified protocol consultant and the administrative director of the school's Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities.

Before the luncheon, the Interest Group Fair will start at 11 a.m. in the adjacent South Ballroom. PWC, a social and philanthropic organization with more than 500 members, conducts almost 40 interest groups with focuses on friendship, sharing and learning. Other programming includes lectures, lunch gatherings and occasional trips. The club also actively supports the SPAN Plan for nontraditional students at Purdue.

The charge for the luncheon is $20. Annual membership for PWC is $20. There is no charge to come to the interest fair. To make a luncheon reservation, go to www.purduewomensclub.org.
