WorkLife Programs services to integrate with new Center for Healthy Living

January 22, 2013

Services provided by WorkLife Programs will be consolidated into the Center for Healthy Living when it opens in late February. Most WorkLife Programs staff will become employees of the center. Mindy Paulet, WorkLife Programs manager, will continue to work for Human Resources and will serve as Purdue's interface with the Center for Healthy Living, among other duties.

The integration of services will support the holistic, team approach that's at the heart of the Center for Healthy Living. To offer the best opportunity for the client's wellness success, the Center for Healthy Living staff will refer clients to appropriate programs and services offered by the center.

In addition to primary care, treatment of common illnesses and laboratory service, the Center for Healthy Living will offer services such as employee assistance, nutrition counseling, wellness and lifestyle management, medication therapy management and behavioral health.

"The efforts of WorkLife Programs staff over the years have helped move Purdue toward a culture of health and wellness," says Luis E. Lewin, vice president for human resources. "I'm very proud of what has been accomplished, and I look forward to everything the Center for Healthy Living will achieve on behalf of Purdue employees."
