Weight Watchers at Work now offered by Rec Sports

February 14, 2013

Purdue's Weight Watchers at Work program is now provided through the Division of Recreational Sports, and it provides guidance and support plus eligibility for many for a discount rate.

For those looking either to achieve significant, long-term weight loss or just trying to shed a few pounds, Weight Watchers at Work can help effect a lifestyle change to assist with that goal.

If a participant’s body mass index (BMI) is over 25, Human Resources will pay for half of the $186 class fee if participants attend 14 of 17 weigh-ins. Discount-eligible participants will pay $93. Those who do not complete at least 14 weigh-ins will receive a bill from Purdue's Accounts Receivable for $93. Participants are eligible for only one incentive in their lifetime.

Upcoming Weight Watchers classes:

* Mondays at noon-1 p.m.: March 4-June 24 in Stewart Center, Room 320
