Study Abroad Fair set for Wednesday

January 14, 2012

The Office of Programs for Study Abroad will hold an all-campus Study Abroad Fair on Wednesday (Jan. 16).

The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Purdue Memorial Union, North Ballroom, and will offer information about program options worldwide for students in every major. The fair also will provide chances to speak with program representatives, returned participants and the office's staff.

Five travel grants will be given away worth up to $1,000 each. A drawing will be held every hour.

Students who take part earn direct credit toward their degree while experiencing a new environment. These innovative programs have shown to have a strong and lasting impact. Even years afterward, participants have used phrases such as "eye-opening," "life-changing," and "the best choice I ever made while at Purdue" to describe studying abroad.

For more information, visit www.studyabroad.purdue.edu or call 49-42383.  The Study Abroad office is at Young Hall, Room 105.
