Online portal provides easy access to employee-relevant websites

A new Purdue webpage is now available to provide a one-stop experience for faculty and staff.
The Purdue Employee Portal provides shortcuts to useful links such as OnePurdue and Human Resources pages in one place. Access to the portal can be found at www.purdue.edu/employeeportal and at the bottom of the Purdue home page.
Through the employee portal, faculty and staff will only need to enter their login data once for SAP applications like pay statements and leave requests, and a second time if they also open CAS systems such as myPurdue and Purdue Security. Once users log in, their login ticket will remain active until they either close the browser or log out.
The portal was first requested in May 2012, and was launched in August.
The creation of the portal comes at the request of steering committees for a number of the new applications available at Purdue, such as the travel and expense application Concur. The committees sought to create a container for all useful applications for employees.
Developers in ITEA created the portal, and representatives from various business offices, academics, Human Resources and Business Services provided input.
Future campus-wide applications, such as Kronos may be added to the webpage as the need arises.
