Faculty member sought to serve on Indiana Commission for Higher Education

Applications and nominations are being sought for the faculty position on the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

One voting member of the commission is a full-time faculty member from a public institution. The faculty member serves a two-year term, and a new faculty member will be appointed for a term beginning July 1, 2013.

Responsibilities of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education include coordinating Indiana’s state-supported system of post-high school education, reviewing the operating budgets of the public institutions, and approving or disapproving proposed new degree programs.

A brief description of the commission and the faculty member position, an application/nomination form, and an agreement to serve are available in a PDF file here. Additional information about the commission is available at www.che.in.gov. Applications and nominations are due by March 29 and should be sent to Rosemary Price at rprice@che.in.gov.

Questions should be directed to Audeen Fentiman, associate dean of engineering for graduate education and interdisciplinary programs and professor of nuclear engineering, at fentiman@purdue.edu.
