Appointments recommended at busy Center for Healthy Living

March 26, 2013

Employees and family members seeking care at the Center for Healthy Living are advised to make an appointment, rather than just to walk in.

"The response to the center has been great, making it less likely that a walk-in client can be seen on the spot," says Mindy Paulet, site services manager in Human Resources. Paulet notes that walk-in clients will be seen as time permits.

Same-day appointments may be available, but clients will probably save themselves time by calling ahead to make an appointment for an open time slot that day, instead of dropping in and waiting.

"We're actively recruiting to add another primary care provider for the center," Paulet says. According to Paulet, the center was to open with four primary care providers, but one of the doctors hired for the center withdrew due to personal reasons shortly before the center opened. CHS Health Services, the organization that runs the center for Purdue, is recruiting candidates now.

To make an appointment at the center, call 49-40111 or schedule through the employee portal at https://purdue.opticonsite.com.
