Fidelity offering workshops on investing, planning this month

Fidelity is offering two workshops in September, and all benefits-eligible faculty and staff are invited to attend. Registration is required.

"Confident Investing in Any Market" will cover how to build a smart investment mix, what factors affect the performance of a portfolio of investments, key principles for tax-smart investing and how to compare different approaches, the importance of setting long-term goals, and techniques to keep a portfolio on track.

Fidelity will present this workshop at these times:

* Sept. 21 (F). 9 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Stewart Center, Room 313.
* Sept. 25 (T). 9 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Stewart Center, Room 214D.

"Designing Your Financial Road Map" will cover preparing a financial road map, building the foundation for retirement planning through debt management and budgeting, balancing and prioritizing nonretirement goals to save appropriately, and evaluating a investment portfolio and selecting appropriate savings vehicles.

Fidelity will present this workshop at these times:

* Sept. 21 (F). 10:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Stewart Center, Room 313.
* Sept. 25 (T). 10:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Stewart Center, Room 214D.

To reserve a spot for one or both of these one-hour workshops, call Fidelity from 8:30 a.m. to midnight Eastern time Monday through Friday at 800-642-7131. Space is limited, and participants must register 24 hours in advance of the scheduled workshop.
