Summer campus tree care

June 28, 2012

With summer progressing, the Grounds Department will continue to implement its campus tree care plan, which includes removing ailing or hazardous trees and planting new trees, when weather conditions are favorable.

In response to the high temperatures and drought conditions West Lafayette has been experiencing this spring and summer, some of the campus trees have gone dormant. Although the trees may appear to be dead, they should make a full recovery once they receive an adequate amount of rain.

Questions about the campus tree care plan can be directed to the Grounds Department at (765) 494-3087.
