Purdue, Colombian company seek research collaborations

President France A. Córdova and Federico Restrepo, CEO of Grupo Empresarial EPM (Empresas Públicas de Medellín), sign a memorandum of understanding that will facilitate collaborations in the areas of nanotechnology, water resources, environmental science and energy.

The agreement between Purdue and EPM, a major utilities and telecommunications company in Colombia, encourages mutual research visits, joint development of research projects, and exploration of partnerships related to entrepreneurship and commercialization programs at Purdue and comparable programs sponsored by EPM.

Purdue is currently hosting more than 70 of Colombia’s top education, research and corporate leaders as part of the International Collaboration Forum, the latest event of the Colombia Purdue Institute for Advanced Scientific Research.
