Purdue honored with regional awards

Purdue received several honors in the 2010 Pride of Case V Awards Program, which recognizes the best work in communications, alumni relations and development from members of Case District V -- academic institutions in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.

Purdue awards:

* Excellence in Print Advertising -- Gold Award for Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders. Teri Thompson, Rwitti Roy, Jim Vruggink, Kate Kester, Mike Esposito, Mark Simons, Andrew Hancock, Nick Rambo and Jiawei Yue.

* Best Practices in Fundraising and Development, 10,000 or more -- Gold Award for Discovery Calls Program. Robin Bellinger, Susan O’Shea and Jason Boley.

* Best Web Site, Individual Page or Section -- Gold Award for Visions of Discovery. Robin Bellinger.

* Most Improved Alumni/Institution Magazine, 10,000 FTE (full-time equivalent enrollment) and up -- Silver Award for Insights magazine for the College of Science. Teri Thompson, Linda Terhune, Mike Esposito, Eric Nelson, Kim Delker and Julie Rosa.

* Best Tabloid/Newsletter for Internal Audience -- Silver Award for Purdue Today. Teri Thompson, Julie Rosa, Valerie O’Brien, Daniel Howell, Mark Simons, Andrew Hancock and Mackenzie Greenwell.

Gold Award winners receive a trophy and certificate and will be recognized onstage Dec. 14 during the Grand Luncheon of the CASE V conference at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.
