Purdue's West Lafayette campus abounds with resources for its more than 15,000 faculty, staff and graduate staff members.

Since 1991, Inside Purdue, the University's print publication for faculty and staff, has offered news about these resources with stories on training opportunities, wellness services, arts events and more. Now with the start of a new school year, Inside Purdue will further emphasize that focus with a new role as resource guide for faculty and staff.

Inside Purdue will be published once at the start of each semester. The fall 2010 issue is being delivered to through campus mail now. A PDF of the issue is available here.

Inside, readers will find a directory to areas of general interest for faculty and staff, human resources contacts, health and wellness opportunities, and a calendar of important dates, including the academic schedule, campus observances such as Homecoming, and scheduled President's Forums.

The issue also includes a pullout arts and entertainment guide, mini-profiles of new faculty and features on governance leaders, namely the chairs of the University Senate, APSAC and CSSAC.

The intent is for faculty and staff to keep Inside Purdue for reference throughout the semester. Employees are encouraged to use Purdue Today, the University's sources daily e-newsletter, as their primary news source.

Purdue Today will continue to provide coverage of important benefits and policy issues, departmental and employee features, honors and appointments, research news, events information, and general interest items from around Purdue's campuses.

New to Purdue Today this year is Purdue Profiles, a weekly feature that will focus on faculty and staff from across campus to highlight not only their work at the University but also within the community.

In addition, the Purdue Today website has been updated to include a Google custom search of the Purdue Today archives. The search box can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the page at www.purdue.edu/newsroom/purduetoday.

The Purdue Today site also offers links to campus travel alerts, photo galleries and an archive of "Thumbs Up" recognition recipients.
