Purdue Libraries hosting conference for science and technology libraries

June 21, 2010

Purdue University Libraries is hosting the 31st annual conference of the International Association of Science and Technology Libraries (IATUL) this week through Thursday. Purdue's hosting marks the first time since 2002 that the conference has taken place in the United States.

The conference theme is "The Evolving World of e-Science: Impact and Implications for Science and Technology Libraries," exploring a new frontier of science and engineering that is focused on harnessing the collective power of researchers on a global scale.

Attendees will probe the current state of e-science and how libraries and information professionals are contributing to the creation, visualization, accessibility, interoperability, and usability of research data and knowledge bases.
