University policy update

The Executive Policy Review Group (EPRG) took action on two system-wide policies at its June meeting.

Following are the new or revised policies and their effective dates:

* Naming of New, Renovated and Existing University Facilities (II.B.3)
The revised policy transfers authority for approval of projects on regional campuses that are estimated to cost $1 million or less from the Capital Projects Council (CPC) to the chancellors. This change is effective June 30.
 
* Volunteers, Interim (VI.B.2)
This new interim policy sets forth the provisions for engaging volunteers. It defines the functions that volunteers may serve and outlines minimum background screening requirements. This policy goes into effect July 1.
